Anti-limescale operation

How does it work and is it difficult to install?


It will be very simply installed around the water pipe that you want to treat. Attention these elements are the smallest and do not treat a complete housing. It is necessary to provide one pair per treated element (shower, sink...). By passing water through an ultra-powerful and concentrated magnetic field, these minerals and other materials suspended in the water lose their ability to stick. The use of rare earth magnets is mandatory for this to be effective. This effect is so long-lasting that it takes almost 2 full days for the modified elements to regain their binding power.

In most homes, it takes much longer than it takes for your water to move between your water supply and its exit to the sewer and the wastewater system.

Please note that these small models are rarely used alone! They cannot be mounted on pipes with an internal diameter of more than 14 mm. They should be placed in pairs, spaced about ten to fifteen centimetres apart, on the same pipe to treat the cold or hot water from a water point.

Example for a kitchen mixer tap:

  • 1 box of 6200 gauss to be installed on the hot water
  • 1 box of 6200 gauss to be installed on the cold water (or 5200 gauss if there is little limestone)

Example on a washing machine:

  • 1 pair of 6200 gauss installed on the water supply pipe of the machine.

It is recommended to either :

  • to install a larger model (Max power 12800 or Mi power 10800) as a priority and to use these in places where the limescale is still too present.
  • to install 6200 packs at every water point in the home: dishwasher, toilet, shower, bath, water heater, bathroom tap, kitchen tap, outdoor tap... on both cold and hot water pipes.
  • 5200 models will only be used on water that will not be heated or where there is little limescale.

A larger model will often be cheaper as it will treat the water for the whole house without the need to buy several models.



Hard water

About "hard water" and "fresh water"?


Water moves through soil and rock to reach the water table, and during its journey, it dissolves very small amounts of minerals and other materials that will solubilize in the water. Calcium and dissolved magnesium are the two most common minerals that make water "hard". The degree of hardness becomes greater as the amount of calcium and magnesium increases. It is these minerals that cause scale or limescale deposits when they are deposited.

Water is a good solvent and many beneficial or impure particles will bind to it through the long journey that will lead it into our homes.

If we want to reduce this amount of calcium, magnesium and other substances in water, it must be acidified by a treatment that is often chemical and not natural. There is no interest other than that of maintenance, we also lose elements that are rather favourable to health through this process.

The Powermag 10800 gauss was installed after the meter, the 6200 gauss was installed on the hot water tank supply line.
After 2 weeks of use, here are my findings.
First of all, I cleaned the foamers of the taps, the shower and washbasin, as well as the toilet bowl, also the tank of the coffee machine.
So far:
- There are no traces of limescale on the aerators.
- On the shower fittings and the washbasin, I still see white marks, but they are easy to clean.
- The coffee maker tank is still streak free, I can't see the white lines at the different water levels anymore, as it empties.
- And where it seems more obvious to me is in the toilet bowl, before every week I had to scrape and use strippers, since then, when I try to scrape, nothing sticks.
Perhaps, it takes time to be sure of the effectiveness of the magnetic anti-limescale, but so far I am very satisfied!
